Zyrtec is used to relieve allergy symptoms and hives.

How much Zyrtec you take and how often you take it depends on the
following: the condition being treated and the age and weight of the
patient. If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency

may be taken with or without food. Avoid alcohol consumption and other
mental depressants (eg, narcotics, tranquilizers, antihistamines)

tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Do
not stop taking Zyrtec without checking with your doctor. Never take

or health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions
should talk with their physician before taking Zyrtec. Do not take
any other over-the-counter or prescription medications without talking
with your doctor.
Zyrtec can cause side reactions; however, for many people do not experience
the any adverse effects. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of
the following occurs: drowsiness, tiredness, dry mouth, sore throat,
headache, nausea and coughing, nosebleed.
Prior to using Zyrtec, tell your medical provider about any of the

Do not take Zyrtec if you are allergic to hydroxyzine or any ingredient

If a dose of Zyrtec is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several
hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, never
double the dose to catch up; unless, advised by your doctor. If more
