Soma
relaxes the muscles and relieves pain and discomfort
associated with strains, spasms or other muscle injuries.
Muscle relaxers are for specific muscle injuries and
pain. (Soma should not be used for general body aches

To prevent an upset stomach, Soma may be taken with food or immediately
after meals. Use Soma strictly as directed by your doctor. Never increase
the dose or take more often than prescribed. Soma provides temporary
relief and must be used in addition to rest, physical therapy and
other measures. Soma makes an injury temporarily feel better; therefore,
do not attempt to lift or exercise too soon.
There are certain side effects associated with the use of Soma. Potentially,
the prescription may cause an upset stomach, heartburn, headache,
dizziness or drowsiness. If the symptoms persist or worsen, consult
your doctor promptly. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop:
persistent stomach pain, rapid heart rate. If you have an allergic
reaction to soma, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an
allergic reaction include the following symptoms: rash, itching, swelling,
dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed
above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Tell your physician your medical history, especially of any liver

relievers, sedatives, medication for depression, certain antihistamines
(e.g., diphenhydramine). Many cough-and-cold products contain antihistamines
which can cause drowsiness. Check labels carefully and consult your
pharmacist if you have any questions. Do not start or stop any medicine
without doctor or pharmacist approval.
If a Soma overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control
center or emergency room immediately. The symptoms of an overdose
may include unusual dizziness or drowsiness, fainting, nausea, vomiting,
facial flushing, fast heartbeat, and loss of consciousness.
Never share Soma with others. If you miss a Soma dose, take it as
soon as remembered if it is within an hour or so. If it is not remembered
until later, skip the missed dosage and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" on the doses.
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15
and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in
the bathroom.
