An oral antifungal agent, Diflucan is used to treat vaginal yeast infections. It is preferred by women. In a market research survey, 9 out of 10 women reported that they would choose Diflucan to a vaginally inserted cream.

Diflucan Prescribed
Diflucan works best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Take Diflucan at evenly spaced intervals. It should be taken as directed since different conditions require different methods of use. Usually, Diflucan is taken one time per day. Another dosage requirement involves taking Diflucan for one week per month and until treatment is completed. Always continue taking Diflucan until the full prescribed amount is used -- even if symptoms disappear. Early discontinued use of the medication may allow the yeast to grow resulting in a relapse of the infection.
